Prototype!

I am really impressed with my group and what they have come up with, they are making me look not bad, but instead I look really terrible in comparison.

So with the prototype upon completion, I can focus on something other than sound... I think it's time to get out the pencil and paper and literally get to the drawing board and start making some cool concept art pictures for the team to select from! If anything this should help in our PITCH!

That's right. The pitch is what I will be focusing on from now on.

I will enjoy this... maybe a little too much.

No band, the days are dark indeed.

OK I had very high hopes for unsettling music with metal and guitar inbetween with the band Rose Glass from Lanark. It seems they are currently on tour and unavailable for recording, yeah we made some songs... but we can't get it done in time for the prototype!
It would have been awesome to show off the music and effects we could have recorded, but nope...time and equipment is not on our side, for now.

I think recording them in future is an option for me... but I don't think it's an option for the group to be waiting on me to do this.

I guess I shall find standard sounds for the game. BORING.

The rest of us...

We as a group have now decided who is doing what for sure... as we have already done quite a bit, I just forgot to post it, since I have been so busy trying to get a band together!
Andrew - 3D modelling
Craig - Game Engine
Allan - Map
Me (Henry) - Sound

OK so I have been trying my hardest to get the band from my home town to sit down and make some noise with me. This is definitely a challenge in of itself.

3D Modelling - Andrew

I would love to have done some modelling with my friend Brett as I recently discovered there is such a thing as mirroring. Meaning only half of the model can be made... and the other half is generated!
This would have made life a lot easier if things went this way for me... but they didn't and somehow I am thankful.

So Andrew in my group is doing modelling! I wonder what I am doing... hmm, hopefully something fun. :)

Offline mode? Yes please!

I want this be to be functional...visually impressive but also very light-weight.

The reasoning behind this is to have it accessible on almost all platforms and more specifically the mobile devices!

Almost loke a flash game , I would love if it could be tried and played there and then instead of looking at a trailer for the game.

The idea is that if the user enjoys the game and chooses to buy it, the offline and full featured one would be available for download. It's making the try out instant so the user know what they are purchasing.

This is to work similar to google play music I have been toying around with, where you can "pin" music from the cloud on to the mobile device in use for when there is no data connection.

I would also hope to see this uniting more players online when they are online with their new gear and go multiplayer more.
