Prototype!
So with the prototype upon completion, I can focus on something other than sound... I think it's time to get out the pencil and paper and literally get to the drawing board and start making some cool concept art pictures for the team to select from! If anything this should help in our PITCH!
That's right. The pitch is what I will be focusing on from now on.
I will enjoy this... maybe a little too much.
No band, the days are dark indeed.
It would have been awesome to show off the music and effects we could have recorded, but nope...time and equipment is not on our side, for now.
I think recording them in future is an option for me... but I don't think it's an option for the group to be waiting on me to do this.
I guess I shall find standard sounds for the game. BORING.

The rest of us...
Andrew - 3D modelling
Craig - Game Engine
Allan - Map
Me (Henry) - Sound
OK so I have been trying my hardest to get the band from my home town to sit down and make some noise with me. This is definitely a challenge in of itself.
3D Modelling - Andrew
This would have made life a lot easier if things went this way for me... but they didn't and somehow I am thankful.
So Andrew in my group is doing modelling! I wonder what I am doing... hmm, hopefully something fun. :)

Offline mode? Yes please!
I want this be to be functional...visually impressive but also very light-weight.
The reasoning behind this is to have it accessible on almost all platforms and more specifically the mobile devices!
Almost loke a flash game , I would love if it could be tried and played there and then instead of looking at a trailer for the game.
The idea is that if the user enjoys the game and chooses to buy it, the offline and full featured one would be available for download. It's making the try out instant so the user know what they are purchasing.
This is to work similar to google play music I have been toying around with, where you can "pin" music from the cloud on to the mobile device in use for when there is no data connection.
I would also hope to see this uniting more players online when they are online with their new gear and go multiplayer more.

The future of our game.

Design Document!
Oh well! At least I got this done and with more than 1000 words. I hope the team has a read through it on SKYDRIVE.

Blogging!
I should take clear notes every Tuesday because of this. Or just write it on the Tuesday!
Of course I can't do that, see that would make sense.
Oh well at least I made a post in the first place.
Anyhoo, I must say, I am not impressed with the kit used to make a HTML5 game... I also hear you can use flash and port it to HTML5... sounds handy. I shall run it by the team.

HTML5 it is!
I am both happy and sad about this decision.
Reasons!
Happy: This game is going to be a lot easier to make since we all have had experience with using flash and many game making programs that are for making games that are usually 2D!
Sad(not seasonal affective disorder): It isn't going to be made in this beautiful UNITY engine... I felt the juice was well worth the squeeze to get things done in this engine.
Yet another 2D game.
I suppose we should make it a good one. ;)

HTML5 or UNITY...or BOTH...Hmm.
We have progressed in terms of what we are using for the game and we have just decided to go with HTML 5.
This is just for the wider target audience and it's recommendation by the lecturer.
I personally would have liked to have made the game in UNITY but it doesn't look like it is going to happen at this rate.
THAT BEING SAID, we could always just make the game again, in UNITY...but I don't see that happening as well.
I am allowed to be hopeful though ;)
